Selma

About two hours ago, I found a website to find the knowledgeable movie, “Selma.” The movie is about Martin Luther King Jr. and how he led a march and a campaign to help secure the rights of all men. In the movie, they march from Selma to Montgomery, and this made President Johnson sign an act that secured voting rights. This was a huge victory for Martin Luther King Jr. because it helped their movement for civil rights. Before the march, Martin Luther King Jr. gives a speech saying that they must fight on for their freedom. Troops are sent to prevent the march, but they don’t give up. Some white supporters join the march, but one of them is killed. Martin Luther King Jr. goes to court, and Johnson allows them to continue their march. This allowed black people the right to vote, and Martin Luther King Jr. says that they are now closer to freedom. I highly recommend this movie because it is not only educational, but it is entertaining as well.
