Over the weekend, I watched the movie “Annie.” In the movie, Annie is a foster child who wants to find her parents. One day, she is walking around in the streets, and she is saved from being hit by a car. The man who saved her is Will Stacks, who is running for mayor. By saving Annie, he becomes more popular, and it is likely that he will win. Will wants to adopt Annie, but his advisor, Guy, hires fake parents to meet with Annie. Guy does this because if Will reunites Annie with her parents, Guy will be given a reward. So Guy and Annie’s caretaker, Colleen Hannigan, make a public reunion with Annie and her parents, and Annie really believes that they are her real parents. Hannigan feels bad, and she tells Will the truth. Annie thinks that Will arranged this, so she feels abandoned. To show that he really wants to adopt Annie, Will drops out of the competition to become mayor. Will adopts Annie, and they open a literacy center. I reccomend this movie for watchers who interest in sad movies with happy endings.
